About Dr. Monica Oganes

Monica Oganes, Ph.D., worked as a bilingual school psychologist in the public schools for over a decade with an Ed.S. degree in school psychology. She obtained a doctoral degree in clinical neuropsychology and worked in hospital settings. She currently works in private practice at her Miami and Orlando offices.

As an English learner in 2nd grade, Dr. Oganes faced challenges being the only immigrant student in her classroom. She often was excluded from instruction because she did not understand English. Working with English learners became a personal mission and she has developed a passion and expertise advocating for equitable practice for culturally and linguistically diverse students.

Dr. Oganes presents workshops at the national and international levels and serves as consultant to districts and organizations. Her mission is to share knowledge and equip ALL school psychologists to engage in best practice when working with English learners.
