We host free monthly virtual meetups focused on timely and meaningful issues impacting multilingual children and families, including instruction, assessment, mental health, and immigration-related considerations. Our meetups are designed to support your professional growth while fostering a welcoming, thoughtful community grounded in best practice and shared expertise.

Meetup Organizers

The Multilingual Interest Group (MIG) Leadership Team includes school psychology practitioners, faculty, and students. We are volunteers.

Anyone inĀ the school psychology field can participate in the MIG Virtual Meetups. Once you sign up, you will be invited to our meetups and have access to our handouts.

You can join the Multilingual School Psychologists Facebook Group to consult with colleagues.

We encourage NASP membership to be part of our NASP Bilingual Interest Group (BIG) community for consultation and learning. NASP Membership provides resources, workshops, advocacy, and more!

I am not bilingual but work in a site that has more than 50% of the students who speak another language. For me, the meetup was helpful to hear best practices, thoughts and perspectives from the diverse group. There were many things I knew already, but I believe hearing the perspectives from those in the same field as me but also from diverse groups really gave me a different awareness.
